Issues : Errors in GE

b. 108-109

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Slur in GC, FE3 (→FE4) & EE

No slur in FE1 (→FE2) & GE

..

It is not certain whether the slur was added by Chopin in GC or overlooked in FE1 (→FE2). Anyways, the Chopinesque proofreading of FE3 (→FE4) and of the base text to EE does not leave any doubts concerning Chopin's intention. Cf. bars 109-110.

b. 111

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

GE1 overlooked the  asterisk. The sign was added in GE2, the remaining sources also include it.

b. 113-115

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

 from A in GC

 from B in FE (→EE)

No sign in GE

..

No  hairpin is certainly an oversight of the engraver of GE1, unnoticed in GE2 as well. In the main text we give the range of the sign according to GC, in which it starts from the beginning of the motif.

b. 115

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In GE, there is no crotchet rest for the lower voice on the last beat, which could be the engraver's oversight (see the complete record in bars 112-114) or a revision – GE omitted the corresponding rest also in the analogous bar 107.

b. 122

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Lower part in GC, FE (→EE) & GE2 – 2 minims

Semibreve in GE1

..

The GE1 version is surely an engraver's mistake. The error was corrected in GE2.
