b. 183

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

g1 in chord in GC (→GE) & FE2 (→EE,FE3FE4)

Chord without g1 in FE1

..

No g1 in the chord is most probably a result of an oversight of the note by the engraver of FE1. The mistake was corrected already in FE2.

b. 185

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

FE1 (→FE2) features an E as the 1st note in the L.H. This striking mistake was corrected only in FE3 (→FE4) and EE. In spite of the fact that it was Chopin that prepared both the proofreading of FE3 and the base text to EE, this kind of correction could have been prepared also by a reviser.

b. 197

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In GC (→GE) and FE there is no  raising to f. The patent inaccuracy was corrected in EE, which, in spite of the fact that the base text to EE was corrected by Chopin, could have been performed by the reviser.

& c1 in the sources

c & c1 suggested by the editors

..

The oversight of the sharps is supported by a close analogy of bars 193-200 to bars 65-72 and no resolution of possible c and c1 to B and b in bar 198. Generally, the recapitulation of the second theme (bars 169-208) reveals features proving its less careful notation by Chopin – see the note to bars 185-188.
