b. 143-144

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

The crotchets in the L.H. in the 2nd half of each of these bars are written in the sources in the treble clef, which raises doubts, as far as the validity of the accidentals from the 1st half is concerned:

  •  before e1 in bar 143 is present in all sources;
  •  before e1 in bar 144 was added in GE, FE4 and EE2;
  •  before e in bar 144 appears only in GE.

In the graphical layout adopted in the main text the signs are not necessary.

b. 145-146

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

GC and FE1 (→FE2FE3) lack seven naturals before the notes, which were previously already correctly written in another octave. These patent inaccuracies do not impede the interpretation and they were completed in the subsequent sources to a varied extent. It is only GE that has the correct text. Similarly in the next bars.

b. 147-148

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

GC and FE1 (→FE2FE3) lack six naturals before the notes which were previously already correctly written in another octave, which was completed in the subsequent sources to a varied extent. The fully correct text is included only in GE2 and EE2 (see also the note in bar 148). Similarly in the adjacent bars.

b. 148

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

d2-g2 in GC, FE (→EE) & GE2

b1-g2 in GE1

..

The version of GE1 is certainly a mistake of the engraver, corrected in GE2. The bottom note of this dyad is devoid of natural in GC, FE and GE1, which in all of the cases is a patent error.

b. 149-150

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

Similarly as in the previous bars, GC and FE1 (→FE2FE3) lack seven accidentals before the notes which were previously already correctly written in another octave. These patent inaccuracies do not impede the interpretation and they were completed in the subsequent sources to a varied extent (including FED, in which a  before the top note of the 3rd crotchet in bar 150 was added). It is only EE2 that has the fully correct text.
