b. 110-114

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

..

In GC and FE1 (→FE2EE1), there are no accidentals before the 3rd crotchet in bars 110 and 114. It is certainly an oversight of Chopin in [A], corrected in FE3 (→FE4). The naturals were added also in GE (in GE1 only in the top voice) and EE2.

Slur up to bar 127 in GC (→GE)

No slur in FE

Slur up to bar 123 in EE

Slur up to bar 126 suggested by the editors

The ending of the slur is written in the sources inaccurately (in FE there are no slurs starting from bar 121). In the main text we suggest a slur based on the most accurately written slurs of analogous phrases (e.g. FE in bars 85-90 and 93-98).

b. 128-129

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

Slur in GC & EE

No slur in FE

Slur in GE

..

The slightly inaccurate beginning of the slur of GC was certainly misinterpreted in GE as embracing entire bar 128. In FE the slurs were most probably overlooked, until bar 143. In the main text, we give the slur of EE, most probably added by Chopin in the base text to this edition.

b. 130-134

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

Slur to f2 in GC

Slur to e2 in GE

No slur in FE

Slur up to bar 133 in EE

Slur up to bar 134 suggested by the editors

The absence of the slur in FE is certainly of an accidental nature – all slurs in bars 121-142 were overlooked. Moreover, the inaccuracy of the slur of GC (revised in GE) is unquestionable. The basis of the main text is the added slur of EE, most probably by Chopin.
