The minim e2 is prolonged in FE. This is probably a mistake although Chopin sometimes used this kind of notation (cf. e.g. Impromptu in A Op. 29, bar 74). However, in this case sustaining e2 longer only complicates the notation with no impact on the voice-leading logic or the sound (pedalling). EE amended the FE notation, certainly a reviser's work. In the main text we adopt the GE version which raises no doubts.
