The lack of the pedal change at the beginning of bar 100 in GE is undoubtedly a mistake. This and the next pedal change was marked by Chopin during the proofreading of FE (→EE). category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Errors in GE , Authentic corrections of FE |

Chopin supplemented the ties sustaining g1 and c2 when proofreading FE (→EE). The lack of ties could have been intentional—the marking placed over the fourth g1-c2 suggests the repetition of those notes. The additional slur linking f1 and e1 in EE is certainly inauthentic . category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Authentic corrections of FE |

FE (→EE1→EE2) omitted both slurs encompassing two last chords of the Nocturne. It is difficult to say wether it was an oversight, or the engraver of FE left the slurs out regarding them as misplaced ties. Moreover, EE1 (→EE2) misunderstood the authentic division of the voices indicating the pianistically natural execution with e-g played by R.H., and G-c by L.H. In EE3 the undoubtedy correct GE version was reinstated. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE |

GE (→FE) has sign for the L.H. sextuplet. The hairpin is missing from EE probably due to oversight. It is also possible that the reviser of EE removed the hairpin as contradicting the sign placed above. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in EE |
