In [A] (→GC,FE), there are no accidentals before the 7th quaver. The logic of the structure of the figuration in bars 9-12 proves that the literal interpretation as c1-c2 is correct. The undoubtedly justified cautionary naturals were added in EE, which, probably, is, however, a revision. The version of GE with c
1-c2, contrary to the remaining sources, indicates a routine approach of the reviser to the Breitkopf & Härtel edition. He introduced the same addition also in bar 46+1, being a repetition of bar 9.
