b. 10

composition: Op. 25 No 8, Etude in D♭ major

..

In A (→GE1) and FE there is no  raising d to d. This characteristic inaccuracy was corrected in EE and GE2 (→GE3). The latter also added a  before a2 on the 4th quaver, poorly justified  before a on the 8th quaver and a completely incomprehensible  before c2 on the 10th quaver.

We also add a  before d2 on the 8th quaver of the bar.

b. 15

composition: Op. 25 No 8, Etude in D♭ major

..

Following GE2 (→GE3), we add cautionary flats before g1 and g, while we omit the late sign before g1 on the 9th quaver, present in the remaining sources.

b. 18

composition: Op. 25 No 8, Etude in D♭ major

In A the bar is written in the part of the L.H. in an abbreviated manner, as repetition of the previous one.

Octave in A (→GE), FE & EE3

Only A in EE1 (→EE2)

..

The single A in EE1 (→EE2) is the original version. It is proved by visible corrections performed by Chopin in A (→GE) and FE. The version with octave was introduced in EE3, most probably on the basis of GE.

Staccato dot in A, FE & EE1 (→EE2)

No mark in GE & EE3

..

GE overlooked the staccato dot at the beginning of the bar. It is most probably a result of an erroneous interpretation of Chopin correction in A. The dot was also deleted in EE3, perhaps as a side effect of adopting the version with the octave from GE.
