The absence of pedalling marks in FE (→EE,GE1) is most probably an oversight of the engraver. The signs were added in GE2 (→GE3GE4), probably on the basis of comparison with analogous places.

Chopin added the pedalling indication on the 3rd beat in the proofreading of FE1. Similarly in bars 57, 113 and 161.

In GE1 the indication of pedal release was moved from the penultimate to the last quaver in the L.H. In the subsequent impressions it was moved again to the original position.
