b. 111-112
|
composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor
..
GE1 overlooked the staccato dot over the 1st chord in bar 112, whereas GE2 (→GE3→GE4) overlooked the staccato indications in the entire progression of chords. A possible aim of the revision was to homogenise all appearances of this bar, however, it is difficult to state why it was bars 55-56 that were chosen as the model. Cf. bars 7-8, as well as 159-160. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , GE revisions |

b. 122-123
|
composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor
..
The hairpins were inaccurately recreated in FE (→EE), whereas in GE1 they were most probably overlooked. In the subsequent GE the sign was added on the basis of analogous bars 18-19. In the main text we give the hairpins of A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE , Scope of dynamic hairpins , Errors in GE , GE revisions |

b. 153-155
|
composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor
..
Bar 153 is marked in A as repetition of bar 49. However, contrary to that bar, here FE did not complete the slurs in the 1st half of the bar, which has to be considered to be an oversight. GE1 added a slur in the R.H. only, the remaining editions – both. In bar 155 there is no slur in the L.H. in GE1, which is probably an oversight of the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE , GE revisions , Omitted correction of an analogous place , Inaccuracies in A |
