Articulation, Accents, Hairpins

b. 31

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

Short accent in A

No mark in FE (→GE1,EE)

Long accent in GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

FE (→GE1,EE) overlooked the accent on the triplet in the R.H. It was added in the subsequent GE, presumably after the corresponding bar of the reprise (bar 135). A has a short accent, which is probably an inaccurate notation given the context and a distinct long accent in bar 29.

b. 33

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

4 staccato dots in A

2 dots in FE (→GE1,EE)

7 dots in GE2 (→GE3GE4)

..

FE (→EE,GE1) overlooked the staccato dots over two quavers on the 2nd beat in the L.H. In the later GE, the dots were arbitrarily assigned to all F notes in this bar (cf. previous annotation).

b. 34

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

GE1 overlooked the staccato dots over the last beat of the R.H. The subsequent GE corrected this mistake.

b. 34

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

No mark in A (→FEEE)

Staccato dot in GE

..

GE includes a staccato dot also under the 1st quaver of the L.H. It is most probably a mistake.

b. 35

composition: Op. 26 No 2, Polonaise in E♭ minor

We add the staccato dot in the L.H. under the first note after analogy to the staccato in the R.H. A similar addition was performed in GE2 (→GE3GE4). EE also did not include the dot in the R.H.
