composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Staccato dot in A & GE

No mark in FE (→EE)

..

Same as in bar 7, the absence of the staccato dot in FE may be a result of Chopin's proofreading. The presence of the dot in GE seems to be a revision (inaccuracy?) of the engraver.

GE4 does not contain the accent for the last quaver in the L.H. Its omission could have been a totally accidental fault of print. In GE5 the sign reappeared.

b. 38

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Dots in A (→FEEE)

No last dot in GE1

No dots in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

..

The absence of the last staccato dot for the bottom voice of the R.H. is undoubtedly a result of an inaccuracy of the engraver of GE1. In turn, the oversight of all dots in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) is probably a revision.

b. 39

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

..

In A Chopin undoubtedly overlooked the  raising g1 to g1 in the written grupetto. He did not correct the mistake in the proofreadings of FE either. The necessary sign was added only by the revisers of GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) & EE2.
