In the entire Polonaise GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5) arbitrarily changed the characteristic for Chopin  indication to  (hardly ever used by the composer) – on this page in bars 5 and 18-19.

Both in bars 5 and 9 A does not include the  returning on the 3rd beat of the bar. This patent inaccuracy was corrected already in FE1. Similarly in bar 34

The sources differ in the range of  hairpins. Taking into account various possibilities of interpretation of the not too carefully written signs in A (also in analogous bar 31) and a possibility of Chopin proofreading of FE (at the reappearance of this bar in the written repetition of bars 1-12), all three variants of the range of this sign can be considered to be potentially corresponding to Chopin's intention. In the main text we give the most possible interpretation of the hairpins of A.

b. 7

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

No staccato dot in FE (→EE) & GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

Staccato dot in A & GE1

..

The missing staccato dot in FE, placed in A over the 1st quaver of the triplet, can be a result of Chopin's proofreading. The appearance of the dot in GE1 may be explained with the engraver's distraction, whereas a relevant correction was introduced in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5).

b. 7

composition: Op. 26 No 1, Polonaise in C♯ minor

Quaver in A

Crotchet in FE (→GE1,EE), 1st instance only

Crotchet in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5)

..

Chopin added a crotchet stem in the L.H. to the g quaver in the proofreading of FE1. The absence of this correction in the analogous bar in the written repetition in the editions most probably results from Chopin's oversight. We directly include this minor improvement in the main text, which corresponds to both analogous bars in the first editions. An addition was respectively performed in the bar being a repetition of bar 7 also in GE2 (→GE3GE4GE5).
