In analogous bars in the entire Mazurka the editions have under the 3rd crotchet, contrary to the notation of A – cf. note to bars 33-63. In this bar EE has  even a little earlier.

The editors' suggestion

..

The lack of  in A is doubtless an oversight. The mark added in GE (→FEEE) under the 3rd crotchet may have been the result of Chopin's correction. We move it to the end of the bar, exactly as Chopin marked in  A the pedalling for all the analogous bars. Cf. the note to bars 49-50.

b. 62

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

 in A

 in GE

 in FE (→EE)

..

The pedal release mark , placed at the end of the bar in A, was gradually moved to the left in subsequent editions (GE, FE and EE) so that it appeared earlier and earlier in the bar.

b. 64

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

Without  in A (→GE1FE)

 in EE and GE2 (→GE3)

..

In EE and GE2 (→GE3), the asterisk  was added at the end of the Mazurka. Leaving the last  mark without closing is a characteristic device for Chopin's notation – cf. endings of the Mazurka in A flat major no. 3 and B flat minor no. 4.
