The lack of  hairpin is most probably an oversight by the engraver of FE. The much shorter sign in EE is likely inaccurate.

In the sources there is no extension of G to bar 126 (note and tie). It is almost certainly Chopin's oversight, related to the transition from bar 126 to a new page in A. Cf. analogous bars 101, 107 and 132.

The  hairpin under the L.H. motif in bars 125-126 is shorter than in similar situations, which must have resulted from the transition to a new page. In the main text we give a longer mark modelled after the previous bars; such a version is included also in GE. In the remaining editions the hairpin was shortened with respect to the notation of A, which could not have been intended by Chopin.

Determining the sound of the third intended by Chopin in the bottom voice of the R.H. is a difficult task. A (→FE,EE) has a b-d1 third with a cautionary  before b. In the same place GC (→GE) has a , written by Chopin's hand, which gives b-d1. According to us, this entry could have been a result of the composer's mistake, who was reviewing GC in a great hurry (cf. bars 202-204) and could have mistaken this bar for bar 124. The factors contributing to such a mistake are the fact of beginning a new page in GC from bar 126 and omitting the cautionary  before b. Due to these facts, in the main text we give the undoubted version of A.
