Chopin added the slur in bar 15, while proofreading FE (→GE,EE). According to us, the proofreading's aim was to extend the slur from bar 14. See the remark on extending the slur in bars 6-8.

In A the slur reaches only until a in the 2nd half of the bar. In turn, in FE (→EE) it goes beyond the last note, as if it were to be continued in the next bar. According to us, both versions of the notation are inaccurate.

The shorter slur of FE (→GE,EE) is almost certainly a result of misunderstanding of A – the right ending of the slur mingles with the  mark.
