In bars 34-35 and 48 in A there are characteristic extended stems next to c1 notes in the part of the R.H. written in the treble clef (in the L.H. the effect is noticeable also in the notation of the C grace note at the beginning of bar 38). In another context they could have been considered as additional crotchets, which was very frequent in Chopin's works, cf., e.g., the Mazurka in Bminor, Op. 24 No. 4, bar 23.
