According to us, the chords at the beginning of bars 27 and 29 in A are provided with wedges (in opposition to dots in bars 26 and 28). In the editions both marks were reproduced as dots. The correct phrasing of the motif in these bars, although not marked by Chopin, is undeniable, therefore, in the main text we suggest a slur based on the adjacent bars. In the main text we give the wedges with which Chopin provided all first chords in bars 30-31 (and in 32). In the editions all marks were inaccurately reproduced as staccato dots, which was frequent at the time of interpreting Chopin's manuscripts.
