Triads in CLI & Ap

Sixths in FE (→GE,EE

..

The additional c3 notes, visible in CLI and Ap at the beginning of these bars in the lower voice, were deleted by Chopin in FEcor. In FE in bar 25 a  was left before the empty space after the deleted note, which the reviser of GE moved before f3.

Crotchets in Ap

..

The crotchets in the lower voice in the R.H., in Ap on the last beats of these bars, are in strong articulation contrast with the remaining semiquaver two-note chords, which is additionally underlined with the accents. In the main text we give the homogenous, as far as the sound is concerned, version of FE (→GE,EE).

The different version of CLI is one of two examples of the melodic line's change in this Etude at the time of refining the piece. Ap has the final version, which was also written in the base text for FE.

Semibreve in CLI

Version in #Ao & FE (→GE,EE

..

The semibreve in CLI is undoubtedly the original version. In the final version Chopin enriched the sound and made the rhythm more robust. In Ap  before the lower note of the first octave is missing. In Ap and FE there is no  lowering e1 to e1 on the 2nd beat of the bar. This patent inaccuracy was corrected in GE and EE. In GE3 and EE4 an unnecessary  before the 2nd e is also added.

Crotchets & semiquavers in Ap

..

Same as in other places, we consider the version of Ap with the extended articulation of the accompanying two-note chords as a transitional stage in the process of shaping of the Etude's text or even an exclusive one-time idea.
