b. 111-127

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Cautionary sharps before the octaves on the 2nd beat of bars 111 and 127 were definitely (GE) or very probably (EE) added by revisers. Still, as we find them justified, we include them into the main text.

b. 120

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

e1 in EE, GC & FE

d1 in GE

..

The minim in the highest voice is not very legible in  GC (it was probably corrected from d sharp1 to e1), so in GE it was misread as d sharp1 .

issues: Errors in GE , Inaccuracies in GC

b. 122

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Missing in GC and FE are the naturals cancelling the sharping of e to e sharp before the last crotchet of the bar, which is an obvious error. EE and GE have the correct version, consistent with the analogous bars 40 and 382.

b. 134

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

e1 in EE, GC (→GE) & FE2

d1 in FE1

..

The minim d sharp1 that can be seen in FE1 is definitely erroneous, as we can conclude from the presence of e1 appearing consistently in all the remaining sources and the version of the analogous bar 142. The error was corrected in FE2.

b. 139-140

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

FE erroneously has D sharp1 as the lower note in both bars.
