Long accent in GC (→GE)

No sign in FE

..

In the main text we give a long accent, following  GC (→GE). In EE the accent mark is short, in FE there is no accent at all.

b. 148

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

 in EE & GC (→GE)

No marking in FE

..

The version of FE – without  – must be considered inaccurate, although it is not possible to determine whether this was the initial version or whether the omission occurred at one of the stages of preparing FE.

b. 149-150

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

No tie in EE

E tied in GC (→GE) & FE

..

EE does not have the tie sustaining E sharp, which is probably an error.

b. 150

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Missing in FE1 are the ending of the tie sustaining E flat and   lowering E1 to E flat1. Those obvious mistakes were corrected in FE2.

b. 152-154

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

The manner in which the indication rallentando is written is slightly different in different sources. EE has the abbreviation rallent. broken into syllables, which is an arbitrary manner typical for that edition. In FE, the abbreviation rall. was used, and in GE the dashes delimiting its scope were omitted.
