In A, the course of writing was interrupted both between bars 89-90 (by the deleted fragment) and between bars 90-91 (by passing on to a new line of the text) .This has caused unclear and unnecessarily complicated notation of the slurs.

The extent of the slur of A is somewhat unclear from the graphic point of view; we adopt the interpretation that is more natural in the context and consistent with the slurring in the two preceding bars. In GE (→FE→EE) the whole motif in that bar was slurred.

A tie in A

The shape of the tie drawn from the last demisemiquaver d flat2 does not clearly indicate where that tie was supposed to end. As the only note of the R.H. struck at the beginning of bar 9 is the dotted crotchet d flat2, one has no other option but to assume that the tie was meant to finish there. Such an interpretation is confirmed by a more legible notation of analogous bars 36-37. Printed in GE (→FE) is only the initial part of the tie from bar 98, which is the last bar of the page in those editions. We assume that it has the same meaning as the one we have determined for the tie of A. In EE, the discontinued tie fragment from bar 98 was omitted.

The slurring in A is unclear due to discordant notation of bar 108, the last one on the page, and bar 109 that begins a new page. GE (→FE→EE) have a single continuous slur in those two bars. In FE, the slur in bar 109, the last bar of the line, ends erroneously on the last quaver (its continuation in bar 110 is written correctly).
