The  mark, placed in A at the end of the bar, appears under the 3rd crotchet in GE (→FE). In EE it is moved slightly to the right from the 3rd crotchet, which only accidentally resembles the notation of A.

Short accents in A (→GE) and EE

Long accents in FE

..

The accents at the beginning of bars 46 and 48 should in A be considered short ones and this is how they were reproduced in GE. FE has long accents, although this does not seem to be the result of the correction in print. The version with long accents could be acceptable for Chopin, as in most analogous bars A has long accents. EE has short accents, which follows from inaccurately reproducing the text of FE. The conformity of that version with the authentic text of A is a fortunate coincidence.

A long accent in A and FE

A short accent in GE and EE

..

The dotted quaver at the beginning of the bar clearly has a  long accent in A. The corresponding mark in GE1 looks like an ordinary short accent, yet it reaches almost to the semiquaver due to the awkward horizontal planning of the notes that form the dotted rhythm. This was probably the reason why the accent from GE1 was interpreted in FE as a long one. EE and GE2 (→GE3) all use accents that are definitely short ones. Cf. bar 100, as well as 46-48.
