In A the accent mark and are written one on top of the other, so it is not clear whether both should be taken into consideration or whether one was meant to replace the other. In GE (→FE→EE) that notation was understood as replacement of the accent with . However, as there are no visible attempts to remove any of the marks, perhaps Chopin could mean superimposing one on the other, the effect known from numerous combinations such as . Therefore we give both marks in our main text.
