Four out of five known autographs include dedications. In AO, the dedication was placed under the last staff, on the right-hand side. The remaining dedications are written in the top right corner of the page, over the staff. In AE and AG, Chopin applied abbreviations, which we explain respectively:
- in AEA Mme la Csse Eszterhazy = A Madame la Comtesse Eszterhazy,
- in AGA Mlle Elise Gavard = A Mademoiselle Elise Gavard
