Long accent in A (→GE)

No mark in FE

Short accent in EE & IE

In A the accent mark in this bar is shorter than in analogous bar 177; however, it is highly likely that the same mark should be used in both places. This is how it was reproduced in GE, in which the accents are of the same length. Their interpretation is not obvious, yet they are clearly longer than typical short accents, e.g. in bar 153. Taking into account the above, we reproduce the discussed mark as a long accent in both sources, which we also provide in the main text. The absence of the mark in FE must be an oversight.
