b. 135

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

Slur to b in A (→GE

Slur to b1 in FE (→EE)

..

The prolonged ending of the slur in FE (→EE) must be an inaccuracy by the copyist or by the engraver.

b. 135-140

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

..

In GE1 the first part of the slur beginning in bar 135 was overlooked – it is only just in a new line, from bar 140, that the remaining part of the slur appears. The mistake was corrected in GE2.

b. 155-159

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

Slur in A (→GE)

No slur in FE (→EE)

In the main text we give the slur added to A (→GE) after [FC] had been finished. In FE (→EE) the slur is absent, as in analogous bars 68-72. See also bars 160-163 and 164.

b. 160-163

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

Slurs in A (→GE) & EE2

No slurs in FE (→EE1)

..

As in the case of the previous, long slur, Chopin added 8 subsequent, half-bar slurs to A after [FC] had been finished. The EE2 slurs were added after comparing it with GE1.

b. 164

composition: Op. 49, Fantaisie in F minor

L.H. slurs in A (→GE) & EE2

No slurs in FE (→EE1)

..

Like the previous ones, the L.H. slurs were almost certainly added to A after [FC] had been finished, which explains their absence in FE (→EE1). In EE2 they were added on the basis of GE1
