b. 80

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

'2' in FC (→GE)

No fingering in FE (→EE)

..

The fingering digit in FC could have been added by Chopin; however, according to us, it cannot be said with certainty, since both Chopin and Fontana wrote similar digits in terms of shape.

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

in FC (→GE)

in FE (→EE)

..

We reproduce the grace note in the version of the principal source, that is FC. b. 81-84

composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor

No indication in FC (→GE)

stretto - - in FE (→EE)

..

There are no reasons to doubt the authenticity of stretto - -, which was most probably added in the stage of proofreading FE or to the basis thereof – Chopin most probably added it together with the following cresc. - -, which he also entered into FC. Therefore, we include it in the main text.
