Lack of the accents in FE is certainly a result of an oversight (of the engraver of FE or of the author of the manuscript which served as the base text for the edition). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE |

The sources differ in the range of dynamic hairpins. The sign in A in bar 83 seems to be inaccurate, yet FE has the same signs in both bars. We give the hairpins of EE, in bar 84 compatible with A. In GE1 the signs of A were recreated inaccurately, while in GE2 (→GE3→GE4) they were homogenised. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Scope of dynamic hairpins |

Lack of pedalling in A (→GE) is rather an inaccuracy of the notation. In A Chopin started writing the third part of the piece without pedalling remarks, the first signs appear only in bar 105 which opens the subsequent page of the manuscript. The appearance of the indications together with the new page, without a visible relation to the music, indicates Chopin's oversight (cf. remarks concerning bars 87-88, 93 and 121). While revising the whole, Chopin added pedalling in bars 12-13 and 94-95, which confirms that the lack of indications in the remaining bars of the segment including bars 83-104 was not intended. category imprint: Differences between sources |

A, FE and EE are lacking the flat returning e2 at the end of the bar. This type of oversights are the most frequent errors made by Chopin. Cf. bar 71. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: Omissions to cancel alteration |

The sources differ in the range of the diminuendo hairpins. In A they begin on the 4th quaver in bar 85 and they end under the 10th quaver in bar 86. In GE the range of the hairpins was simplified, positioning them in the entire space of bars 85-86. In GE2 (→GE3→GE4) the ending of the hairpins was specified, as they were shortened by one quaver in comparison with GE. In FE and EE the hairpins were put only in bar 85 and shortened to two middle quaver groups. We adopt the notation of A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Scope of dynamic hairpins |
