The slur in A in bar 86 (at the end of the great stave) clearly suggests a continuation, which is however not proved by the slur in the new line in bar 87. The separated slurs are compatible with the phrasing clearly inscribed in bars 3-6. The constant slur in GE1 is a consequence of unclear notation in A. It can be assumed that the manuscript sent for EE also had a similarly ambiguous notation. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Overextending slur |

Lack of the cresc. hairpins in A (→GE1) in those bars (and also in bars 90-94) is most probably a result of Chopin's inattention. We give the hairpins after FE, compatible with those which we adopted for analogous bars 83-84. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Scope of dynamic hairpins |

Lack of pedalling in A (→GE) and EE was probably not intended by Chopin. We give the variant proposal of pedalling based on the indications of FE and the marks in analogous bars 1-2 and 83-84. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions |

Lack of the accents in A, FE and EE probably does not mean that the motifs in those bars are to be performed differently than in the remaining analogous places. Therefore, taking into account the accents added in GE2 (→GE3→GE4) seems to be completely justified. However, we maintain the notation of the basic source (A), as the remaining sources do not clearly indicate Chopin's inattention only in this case while writing A. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions |

In FE the mordent present in the remaining sources was probably omitted. Lack of an appropriate entry in pupils' copies may be puzzling (e.g. in bar 21 Chopin wrote the omitted sign into FES and FEJ). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE |
