The sources differ in the range of the crescendo hairpins. In A the place of their ending is uncertain – the upper arm reaches the bar line, while the lower one reaches the minim in bar 70. In GE the hairpins were placed in entire bar 69. In FE the beginning of crescendo was put under the last quaver of the 1st triplet group, while in EE – at the beginning of the 2nd group. We adopt the notation of A, taking into account the longer arm of the hairpins. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: Scope of dynamic hairpins |

The slurs in A (→GE) in bars 71-73 begin from the 2nd crotchet in the L.H. and end on the bar line. In FE and EE the slurs include the entire bars in the L.H., which can be a result of the inaccurate notation of the lost base texts or of the original notation of analogous figures in the L.H. in bars 55 or 65. category imprint: Differences between sources |
