In A, Chopin wrote only two naturals in this place – before the 2nd quaver in bar 476 and before the bottom note of the 1st quaver in bar 477. The missing signs before the 1st octave in the L.H. in bar 476 are the only case in the entire fragment in which the first occurrence of a note in a bar was not marked correctly. It probably indicates that the part of the L.H. was written after the passages in the R.H., hence the first b Chopin encountered while writing was the 2nd quaver, written on the bottom stave. In the last chord in the L.H., A does not have signs returning g and b. This patent inaccuracy, probably caused by crossings-out and changes (the crossed out chord sounded e-a-c1-g1), was corrected already in GE (→FE→EE). A (→GE1→FE1) features a d2 as the last quaver. At the same time, one can see that initially the entire last triplet was written a second lower – c1-d1-d2. Chopin corrected the first two quavers and most probably overlooked the third one, being in haste. Such a scenario is confirmed by the proofreading of FE2 (→EE) – almost certainly authentic – in which the note was changed to e2.
