Issues : No pedal release mark
b. 22-23
|
composition: Op. 10 No 9, Etude in F minor
..
After the mark in the middle of bar 22, FE is missing the mark. In GE and EE a was added at the end of this bar, yet according to us, Chopin probably had in mind a one-and-a-half bar pedal. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE , No pedal release mark |

b. 23-26
|
composition: Op. 28 No. 6, Prelude in B minor
..
The missing mark in FC (→GE) is almost certainly a result of an oversight of the copyist. The omission of the mark in CGS is most probably of a similar nature. The addition of the mark in b. 26 must be a revision of EE, quite frequent in Chopinesque first editions – cf., e.g. the Prelude in C Major, No. 1. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , No pedal release mark , Errors of FC |

b. 24
|
composition: Op. 24 No. 3, Mazurka in A♭ major
..
In the sources Chopin has not marked when to release the pedal written in A (→GE→FE→EE) in bar 20. We add the mark in order to avoid a suggestion of an over-sustaining of the pedal, e.g. up to the next sign in bar 26. category imprint: Editorial revisions issues: No pedal release mark |

b. 26
|
composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt II
..
Omission of the sign in GE1 (→FE) is certainly a mistake. The sign was added in EE (arbitrarily) and GE2 (after A). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in GE , No pedal release mark |

b. 26
|
composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III
..
Same as in bar 12, the missing sign in A is most probably an inaccuracy. The sign was added already in GE (→FE→EE), perhaps at Chopin's request. category imprint: Differences between sources |
