b. 65

composition: Op. 28 No. 15, Prelude in D♭ major

..

In A (→FE,FCGE) the  before the 1st R.H. chord is at the pitch of d1. Chopin's patent mistake was rectified in EE; a respective correction is also in FES. The mistake resulted from rhythmic corrections in the parts of both hands that made Chopin cross out the entire bar and rewrite it on the staves below – in the crossed-out version the  was at the right pitch.
The corrections concerned the 1st L.H. crotchet (illegible) and the 2nd and 3rd R.H. chords – the top g1 note in the chord on the 3rd beat of the bar was crossed out, while in the chord on the 2nd beat it was prolonged to a minim. Therefore, it is an example of Chopin's hesitation; in the final version, he returned to the initial concept.

b. 77

composition: Op. 10 No 8, Etude in F major

..

In A there are no accidentals before the upper minim in the L.H. at the beginning of the bar and before the penultimate semiquaver in the R.H. First of these undeniable oversights was corrected already in FE (→GE,EE), the second – only in GE.

In A the flat before the 5th semiquaver (e4) is arranged clearly too low, at the level of b3.

b. 79

composition: Op. 10 No 8, Etude in F major

..

The  before the 5th semiquaver in A illustrates Chopin's idiosyncrasy, ocurring sometimes in his autographs, to write accidentals on a visibly different level than the notes they pertain to.

b. 119

composition: Op. 2, Variations, complete

..

There is only one  before the chord at the beginning of the 2nd half of the bar in AsI and A, a  to the bottom note (the bsemiquaver). What is more, in A the accidental was written inaccurately, above the semiquaver, as a result of which GE1 assigned it to d3. Both missing naturals were added in the stage of proofreading of that edition. Chopin's patent oversight was corrected right away in GE1, hence all editions contain the right text (the fact that the  to d3 was printed first is evidenced by the arrangement of the naturals and by the slight difference in size between the  of d3 and the two remaining ones).
