The   mark in A may give rise to certain slight doubts as far as its starting point is concerned.  We adopt the simplest solution. In GE (→FEEE) the mark is visibly longer, which is the regular tendency of the engraver of GE1.

Both  signs are written in A on the saff, what further hindered the legibility of the faint hairpins. As a result GC (→GE), FE overlooked them, and EE imprecisely reproduced the first sign only.

The hairpins   in A may be read and interpreted in a number of ways. This is so because the beginning of the mark was drawn too vigorously and its ends are of unequal length. The versions of GE1 (→FE) and GE2 (→GE#) present two attempts to decipher the notation of A. The hairpins   in EE are probably a distorted accent.

As in the next bar, in A the change of direction of the   hairpins occurs just before the three quarters of the bar. In GE and the remaining editions, this moment occurs in the middle of the bar, contrary to the natural dynamics related to the direction of the figuration movement.

In GC (→GE) and FE there is no decresc. in the R.H. In A it is shorter than in analogous bars 141 and 145, yet there is no reason to differentiate between the places. A similar harmonisation of these hairpins was performed in EE.
