The replacement of 4 Mazurkas with Quatre Mazurkas does not change the authentic title. However, the addition to the title in EE is definitely inauthentic; the English editor used to add the expression Souvenir de la Pologne to each consecutive opus of Chopin's Mazurkas. In EE2, the dedication was omitted.

Both the sentimental title "Les Plaintives" and the description 7e Nocturne placing the Nocturne on the list of the works of that genre published by Chopin are definitely an arbitrary addition by the publisher of EE.

Not being sure of the spelling of the last name of the princess, Chopin asked Fontana (in the letter dated 6 Oct. 1841)  to find it out from the princess herself or from her governess: "I don't know how Mme Czerniszew spells her name [...]: is it Tscher, or Tcher? [...], whether it is Elisabeth, and whether Tschernischef, or ff [...]". As GE and FE2 differ in that respect, it seems natural to assume that the later-published FE2 presents the spelling checked by Chopin. The dedication in EE2 was repeated after GE.

Neither the person nor the surname of the dedication's addressee in PE are known to Chopinologists. It cannot be excluded that the dedication is an addition of the publisher – we know a couple of examples of arbitrarily added dedications by publishers even in the pieces issued during Chopin's life (by Wessel in London).
