Separate slurs in FE (→EE)

Continuous slur in FC (→GE)

It is not entirely clear why the slurring differs between FE and FC. The ending of the slur on the g1 semiquaver in bar 16 was most probably in [A], since such a slur is both in FE and FC. However, in the copy, another slur was linked to it, led to the end of bar 18 (at the end of the line). Therefore, strictly speaking, this added slur was not a correction from the FE version, since there are no signs that FC initially included a slur starting in bar 17. Nevertheless, the very fact of adding a slur supposed to continue the previous one proves that the slurs were written here carefully and denies the division of the slurs visible in FE. Moreover, a continuous slur in this place seems more musically artful, since if a new phrase were to be separated, it would be together with the upbeat, hence the 3rd beat in bar 16, as it was clearly marked in a similar situation in bar 24.
