We give the L.H. 2nd and 3rd beats in the version of FE, which can be considered an enhanced version of A (in A there is no augmentation dot to the f1 crotchet). In GE (→EE,FESB) all bottom voice quavers are written in the form of three-note chords, since their stems reach f1, which does not correspond to the notation of A and is probably an oversight by the engraver. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , Authentic corrections of FE , FE revisions |

In A the division of the L.H. part into voices is irregular and at times difficult to implement in print. It seems to have resulted from introducing changes (not entirely thought out) to the notation of the first two quavers – Chopin probably started from one-part notation , out of which he then separated the two top voices on the 1st beat. In this situation, the simpler version of GE (→FE,EE) is to be considered an improvement, although it is uncertain whether it comes from Chopin. Anyways, the composer did not question it while correcting the last quaver in FE – see the next note. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations; Source & stylistic information issues: Inaccuracies in GE , Corrections in A , GE revisions |

The slur starting earlier in GE1 (→FE,EE,GE2→FESB) must be a mistake by the engraver of GE1, corrected in GE3, probably on the basis of a comparison with the L.H. slur and with bar 376. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

In GE (→EE) the slur starting in bar 376, which ends a line, clearly suggests that it should be continued; however, there is no ending thereof in bar 377. In FE and FESB the slur was led only to the last semiquaver in bar 376, interpreting the notation of GE as an inaccurate ending of the slur. We interpret it similarly in the content transcription of GE and EE. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources |
