The non-slashed grace notes in bars 9 and 14 is a systematic inaccuracy of the engraver of GE – all grace notes in the entire opus 63 are non-slashed in GE. As confirms the authenticity of short, slashed grace notes of FE (→EE).

The missing mordent in FE (→EEW,GE1→GE2) is most probably an oversight, which is indicated by the presence of  in As and by a comparison with analogous bars 18, 26 and 30. The mordent was added in GE3, most probably to standardise the version of these 4 bars. In the main text we suggest it in a variant form.

The absence of mordent in As could be considered an inaccuracy related to the sketchy nature of this manuscript, but for the fact that in bar 22  is not included in the version prepared for print. It could only have been a coincidence – the inaccuracy of As here and, for example, the oversight by the engraver of FE in bar 22 – but Chopin's hesitation cannot be completely ruled out.
