Issues : Errors in FE
b. 5
|
composition: Op. 63 No. 1, Mazurka in B major
..
The missing e1 note in the R.H. in FE (→GE,EE) seems to be an oversight by the engraver, since analogous motifs are generally led in thirds. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors repeated in GE , Errors repeated in EE |

b. 5-6
|
composition: Op. 63 No. 1, Mazurka in B major
..
The fact that the slur is not continued in a new line in FE is most probably an oversight by the engraver, and it was interpreted as such in the remaining editions. A longer slur is also present in AI, which allows us to recognise this version as the only one intended by Chopin. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , GE revisions |

b. 7
|
composition: Op. 63 No. 1, Mazurka in B major
..
The c1-d1 second in FE1 (→GE1→GE2) must be a mistake (most probably by the engraver), which is proven by b-c1:
The correct text of GE3 most probably resulted from the fact that a copy of FE2 was used in the revision. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , GE revisions , FE revisions , Errors repeated in GE |

b. 7-15
|
composition: Op. 63 No. 1, Mazurka in B major
..
In bars 7 and 15 the sources do not contain sharps over the mordents. There are no doubts as to the sound of the top note, while the notation is inaccurate, as usual in such situations in Chopin's works (in bar 7 it concerns only AI and GE3 due to the misplaced mark in the remaining sources). In the versions 'edited text' and in the main text we add the absent accidentals. category imprint: Interpretations within context issues: Errors in FE , Accidentals in different octaves , GE revisions , Errors repeated in GE , Errors repeated in EE |

b. 40-42
|
composition: Op. 63 No. 1, Mazurka in B major
..
In AI Chopin continues the division into a melodic voice, encompassed with a slur, and accompanying voices, provided with staccato dots over the parts of both hands. It is only in bar 41 that a dot is missing, over the E-e octave, which must have resulted from the lack of space between the L.H. e and the R.H. g. In the content transcription (version 'edited text') we add this mark. category imprint: Differences between sources; Corrections & alterations issues: Errors in FE , GE revisions |
