Op. 28 No. 17, Prelude in A♭ major
As in the previous four-bar section, accidentals in A (→FC,FE) are written inaccurately. As the oversights are obvious, below you can find the overlooked accidentals we identified:
- in b. 47 there are no sharps before g
1 and c
2;
- in b. 48 there is no
before c
2;
- in b. 49 there are no sharps before g
1 (in the L.H. and the R.H.) and before f
1 (in FC a
was added before g
1 in the L.H.);
- in b. 50 there are no sharps before f
, f
1 and c
2.
Moreover, in FC the before b in b. 47 was overlooked. Accidentals were added in GE and EE (except the
before f
1 in b. 49).
The notation of FCI overlaps with the notation of A only partially:
- in b. 47 there is no
before c
2 and probably c
(illegible photograph);
- in b. 49 there are no sharps before g
1 and f
1 in the R.H.;
- in the 1st half of b. 50, 4 L.H. sharps are missing.
