The presence of arpeggios both in b. 560 and 566 makes us consider their absence in b. 562 and 564 to be Chopin's oversight. Therefore, in the main text we suggest adding the signs. The arpeggios were added in GE2 (→GE3). category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: GE revisions |

The missing arpeggio signs are most probably a mistake of the engraver of FE, who could have confused the bar with one of the previous ones, similar b. 562 or 564. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE |

The missing arpeggio must be a result of the engravers' inattention, particularly in FE, in which the last arpeggios in this section were printed in b. 560. The mark was added in GE2 (→GE3). Chopin could have decided to stop providing chords with arpeggios with the gradual fading of music (diminuendo started already in b. 567). Therefore, in the main text we leave the notation of A and of the majority of the sources without changes. However, taking into account the fact that the missing signs could have been a result of inaccuracy, we accept the use of the variant version of GE2 (→GE3).
