



Chopin added a 12-bar crescendo both in FC (→GE) and FE (→EE). In the main text we reproduce the notation of FC, in which the word cresc. appears in b. 528 slightly earlier (anyway, in the case of such a long dynamic change it does not actually matter). See also b. 540.
