The arbitrary version of GE3 is almost certainly erroneous – such an anticipation of a chord that is to be played shortly with notes of the figuration is typical of Chopin, cf. e.g. bar 279 of this movement of the Concerto, the Etude in C Major, Op. 10 No. 1, bar 5, the Etude in A Minor, Op. 25 No. 11, bars 8 and 10 or the Ballade in G Minor, Op. 23, bar 63. The a1 note, present in harmonically similar bar 492, does not constitute an argument for a possible wrong insertion of a in the discussed bar, since the melodic context of the preceding figuration is different there.
