b. 95-98

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

..

The traces of corrections visible in FE prove that Chopin devoted a great deal of attention to the slurring, e.g. he moved the beginning of the slur in bar 95 a quaver earlier, he combined the slurs at the transition between bars 95-96, while in bar 98 he combined two half-bar slurs in one.

b2 in GE

..

The version of GE is almost certainly a Terzverschreibung mistake, probably committed in FE, in which Chopin, however, corrected it in the last phase of proofreading. Taking into account the traces of corrections, a similar mistake was committed and corrected in FE also in the last figure in the previous bar.

b. 106-108

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt II

..

There are no cautionary naturals before the penultimate semiquaver in bar 106 and 108. They were most probably added in the last phase of proofreading of FE (→EE).

Continuous slur in sources

2 slurs suggested by the editors

..

A continuous slur in the L.H. in the 2nd half of this bar was most probably added in a proofreading of FE, replacing the slur encompassing the last 4 semiquavers. However, Chopin could have added a slur from the B note in the middle of the bar to the dnote before the semiquaver rest, and the engraver considered it an extension of the already printed slur. Due to this reason, although the source slur can correspond to Chopin's intention, it seems quite likely that the composer meant here two slurs separated with a rest, like in analogous bar 106.

Wedge in FE (→EE)

No mark in GE

..

The missing wedge in GE may be a mere oversight; however, taking into account possible corrections of FE in the R.H., we assume that it is more likely that the wedge was added by Chopin in the last phase of proofreading of FE
