Issues : Cautionary accidentals

b. 327

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt I

..

In the main text, we add cautionary naturals before a2 and b1 (the last semiquaver) and omit the  before gpresent in the sources. The first of the naturals was added already in GE and EE2 (→EE3), whereas the second – in EE and GE3. Moreover, both GE and EE include a cautionary  before c4

In FE (→GE), there are sharps (reminding?) before d2 and fon the 5th semiquaver of the bar. We remove them in the main text, since both notes (f2 and d3) are present in the previous bar. The marks were removed also in EE.

In the main text, we omit the sharps before the D-d octave, which are poorly justified in this context. The marks were removed already in GE3.

A repetition of the reminding (?)  before f1 may seem to be superfluous, cf. the version of GE3; however, in the main text, we preserve this mark due to the note featured in the chords in the L.H. Moreover, if we take into account the entry in FEH, i.e.  a  before the 1st grace note in the bar, the discussed  takes on different meaning, becoming a mark restoring f1.

In FE, there are no accidentals before the top note of the fifth and last fourth. In EE, a  was added before the first of them (g2), whereas in GE, it was added before both (g2 and b2). According to us, it is only the first addition that is justified.
