Dotted rhythm in FE (→EE)

Quavers in GE

The version of GE is probably an authentic original version, corrected by Chopin in FE (→EE) during last retouches. It is indicated by the layout of notes in FE, corresponding to the rhythm of GE and not FE, which may mean that the extending dot of cand the semiquaver beam next to dwere added only just in print. Such rhythmic variations are frequent in Chopin's works, cf. e.g. the Polonaise in C minor, op. 26, no. 1, bar 61 or the Prelude in C minor, op. 45, bars 67 and 71.
