The slur in bar 13, which ends the line of the text in Atut, is written indistinctly – one can see only its beginning. Consequently, the mark was omitted in FE (→EE,GE1→GE2), whereas the slur begins only just from bar 14. The revision introduced in GE3, a slur encompassing the entire first motif, like all subsequent ones, certainly corresponds to Chopin's intention, hence we include it in the main text (cf. prolonging the slurs in Atut in bars 14-15 and 17-18).
