In the main text we omit the cautionary  before c4, featured in FE (→EE). The accidental may be a remaining part of the initial notation of the preceding semiquavers as e3-c4, which would demonstrate that the enharmonic change was performed already in [A].

There is no  lowering G to G at the beginning of the bar in FE (→EE1). This mistake, if committed by Chopin, would prove his anticipatory thinking – modulation to the key of B minor/G major was already determined in the previous bar, hence the use of G could have already been considered obvious (in FE the spaces between the notes suggest that the  before g and maybe even all 3 L.H. flats were added at the time of proofreading). The accidental was added in the remaining editions.

FE are lacking in the  before the 1st L.H. quaver. The patent mistake was corrected in the remaining editions.

In FE, there are no naturals before the bottom voice d1/2/3 notes. The last one is absolutely necessary; in spite of that, it was not added in any of the subsequent editions, in which the additions were limited to a  before d1 at the beginning of the bar. Moreover, FE (→GE) are lacking in the  before c3 in the 2nd figure; the accidental was added in EE. Significantly, the previous note, d3, is preceded with a , which was apparently understood as a cautionary accidental due to the d notes in the bottom voice and in the L.H.
