The version of GE1 (→FE→EE) is almost certainly erroneous – breaking the octave line of the topmost voice is totally unjustified in this case. Therefore, in the main text we preserve the version of A. This evaluation remains unchanged in the face of the addition of a 
, overlooked by Chopin, raising d
3 to d3 in GE1, since it was most probably performed by the reviser (in A Chopin also overlooked the raising d2 to d2).
